What’s going on in the kitchen?

It’s almost Thanksgiving, and this grateful-to-be-alive, powersniffing dog knows.
We are preparing some meats and maybe some butternut squash to take to my mom’s house for the holiday. All the aromatic action results in scenes like this:

What’s cooking in your kitchen?
Bonus link: I know it’s “Wordless Wednesday” and all, but Fiona Apple wrote a whole bunch of touching words about how she’s canceling a tour so that she can be with her dying dog. Check out the news story and her handwritten note. Have a hanky handy.

Your kitchen looks like mine, anytime we cook something there are dogs to trip over. I swear they are always looking for dropped food.
I saw the letter Fiona Apple wrote… it breaks my heart but I’m glad she’s spending the time with her girl.
Love the kitchen scene!
We’ve actually had to gate my doggie out of the kitchen as I’m always afraid one of us might step on him by accident- he is always underfoot!
But I am sure my pooch will get his fair share of table scraps and tidbits tomorrow
Is it dorky that I loooove when Rufus lays at my feet while i’m cooking? It makes me love my little family so much
what a wonderful scene in the kitchen – just the way it should be. We don’t celebrate Thanksgiving here, so I guess I’m most likely to land up with baked beans on toast
Love the photo – do not back up too fast – ha! I will be making the feast in my kitchen tomorrow. Have a Great Thanksgiving to you and your gang!!!
Love the kitchen scene and it is all to familiar
What a lovely letter she wrote and I am so glad she is spending time with her beautiful girl.
